As I prepare for the Thanksgiving meal that will be happening at my home in a few days, I begin to reflect on "thanks-giving". What is that really, how is that reflected in my life and is it good for my over all health and well-being.
Taking time each day to be thankful enables me to take time to breath and take in some extra oxygen, simply by slowing down, and taking a few extra deep breaths. Oxygen, lots of it, is essential to life and it's a natural stress reliever. The simple act of breathing deeply, can invigorate and renew your natural energy levels, lower your blood pressure and allow you a moment to give thanks for anything you want!
Finding ways to breath is a game you can play. A few ideas to get you started could be taking a walk with a friend, participating in a yoga class, raking some of those fall leaves still left on the ground, or hanging out in a kitchen where the smells of good food are wafting through the air. Pick whatever you find to be fun and enjoyable. Yes, I said fun and keep breathing. Take a moment or two for you and fill up your lungs!
Great health and well-being begins with you! Simple and easy. Take advantage of all the oxygen around you and breath deeply. Here's is my wish to you and your family for a fun and oxygenated Thanksgiving! Be Well and Be Healthy As Can Be!
